Edwin S. Raymond

Edwin (Ted) Shepard Raymond passed away peacefully at Total Rehab/Swan Hospice in Moorestown, NJ on August 10, 2023 at the age of 89. He was born in Danbury, Connecticut to Eleanor Woodworth Raymond and Edwin Warner Raymond on July 28, 1934.
Ted married Constance (Connie) Miller on June 20, 1959. They had four children before Connie passed at the age of 31. Ted married Patricia (Trish) Levy Walter on September 11, 1971.
Their newly blended family included Carol (Cary) Sax, Leslie Doughtery, Pamela (Pam) Pracher, Kimberly (Kim) Celeste and Kenneth (Ken) Raymond – known fondly to family and friends as the “Raymond Rent a Crowd”.
Ted is survived by his 5 children, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Ted and Trish enjoyed 20 years of retirement in Charlottesville, Virginia working around the yard, meticulously improving the property and their house. He was very active in the local community and enjoyed making new friends and exploring Virginia’s rich culture and history. He enjoyed birdwatching in the back yard, gardening, working out, playing pool and engaging in small projects both at home and around Charlottesville.
A memorial service for Ted will be held on October 14, 2023, at 1 pm at All Saints Church (15 Basking Ridge Road, Millington, New Jersey, 07946). In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your favorite charity.
