Ira Jones, known as “Stan” passed away on July 8, 2022 surrounded by his family. Mr. Jones was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia and most recently Cinnaminson, NJ.
Son of the late Erastus and Lila Jones, Stan was born in Smoaks, South Carolina. He relocated to Philadelphia where he spent most of his life with his wife Santina “Sue” Jones, raising their three children. Stan helped coach his children’s sports leagues, soccer and baseball and was well known and loved by all he coached. He was a skilled and talented carpenter by trade and also was known for his Pizza truck. Affectionately called “Stan, the Pizza Man”.
Stan was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Santina “Sue” Costa-Jones, his sisters, Vivian, Marian, Alice, and brothers Alfred and Rudolph. He is survived by his loving children, Robert (Lysa), Stephen, and Sharon Jones. Five grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jessica, Kayla, and Jenna Jones, and Donald Revill, and many nieces and nephews.
