Virginia "Ginny" Larson Henriksen

On October 18, 2024, Virginia Henriksen, 96, passed on to be with her Heavenly Father. Ginny lived a long, full life. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Robert L. Henriksen, in 2000.

Ginny was born on June 13, 1928, in Islip, New York to Clara (Downs) and Erick Larson. She attended Islip schools and then Russell Sage College. She married Robert Henriksen in 1950, settled in Islip, and then moved the family to New Jersey in 1974.

Ginny was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her six children, Christian (Deborah) Henriksen, Diane Green, Gail Santora, Robert (Lisa) Henriksen, Donald (Theresa) Henriksen and Janet (Vincent) DaCunza. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren who were the joy of her life.

She worked various jobs throughout her life and was very active in the Marlton Medford Methodist Church. As a testament to her giving spirit, she volunteered at the Marlton Virtua Hospital for 30 years. She leaves a legacy of love and service to all who knew her.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to the staff from Cambridge Assisted Living and Compassus Hospice for their care and compassion. A celebration of life service will be held at the Medford Methodist Church, 2 Hartford Rd, Medford, NJ 08055, on Saturday November 23, 2024. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM with the service at 2:00 PM.
